Anushka played a Punjabi girl who was from middle class in the movie known as 'Band baaja baaraat.' She starred alongside Ranveer. It was a surprise hit and was praised by the critics. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
